Sculpture Close-up

This hand-worked steel sculpture reflects light and creates a dynamic focal point for the main wall of the lobby great room. Flat sheets of steel are plasma cut, hammered and welded with textures and patterns to suggest a flowing, desert river. Rich shades of amber, blue and violet, created by carefully heat coloring the metal with a torch, define the depth and movement of the shapes over the rock wall.
